Our Canine Coaches follow a custom curriculum that has been approved for continuing education credits by the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC) and the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT) and are also trained & certified in Canine CPR and basic first aid. Many of our staff members hold certifications by respected third parties in the pet care industry including the Professional Animal Care Certification Council (PACCC), the International Boarding & Pet Services Association (IBPSA), Pet Guru College, and Fear Free. Our facility is one of two in Wisconsin that is owned and operated by a Certified Professional Animal Care Manager & Operator. What does all this mean? Our staff are highly trained in dog language & dog behavior, including the nuances of canine interactions and using positive reinforcement to build healthy behaviors.  Our staff recognize that each dog has an individual personality, behavior, and playstyle, and we adapt to your dog’s needs. Learn About Our Modern Facility

Dogtopia of Madison West has three large and bright, temperature-controlled indoor playrooms complete with doggie play equipment, rubber flooring (for joint health), pet-safe cleaning products designed for canine open-play, and trained caregivers who use positive reinforcement to help your dog succeed.  We have two large outdoor playgrounds complete with hypoallergenic Doggie turf, summertime shade, play equipment, and water games. Our facilities are also equipped with an air purification system designed to kill bacteria, mold, and viruses, including the SARS-coV-2 virus that causes COVID-19.

Each of our playrooms and outdoor play areas come equipped with high definition, live webcams. Take a peek at your dog romping, lounging, or playing “follow the leader” with our Canine Coaches. Webcams are live during business hours.

If you’re headed out of town, you can rest assured that when your dog boards with us they receive the same level of care. We even send regular updates for your peace of mind! All boarding dogs participate in open-play with our daycare dogs, with additional feeding and play times. The familiar schedule and environment help reduce doggie stress and allow them to rest fully every night.

Dogtopia of Madison West has also earned certification status as a Heroes for Healthy Pets^TM facility. The Heroes for Healthy Pets^TM  Certification Program in Infectious Disease Management provides training for preventative care, including strategic vaccination, and cleaning and disinfection protocols to help maintain disease-free facilities and keep pets healthy.

The program is co-sponsored by the International Boarding and Pet Services Association, National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America, Pet Sitters International, VETgirl, and Barkleigh Productions.

Dogtopia of Madison West is conveniently located at the corner of Laura Lane and Century Avenue. You can easily reach our facility from Airport Road and Century Avenue in Middleton, Wisconsin, off of exit 250 from the beltline. We’re close to Green Station Shopping, Costco and Hilldale Shopping Center. If your vehicle needs service, we are also near Goben Cars, Schoepp Motors, Middleton Ford, Bergstrom Chevrolet of Middleton and Zimbrick Acura of Middleton.

We are just down the road from the off-leash dog park located at Penni Klein Park, 5 miles away from the MRD Dog Exercise Area, and near Pheasant Branch Creek Conservancy Area if you want to treat your pup to a little fun outdoors following a visit to our location or reserve an appointment with one of our Professional Dog Groomers for a bath after they get dirty from a romp on the trails!
