Think of our facility as a school where your pup can learn, socialize, and enjoy their day in an environment designed just for them. Our team organizes fun brain games and behavior-focused activities, just like you’d expect from a classroom, but we’ve swapped books for flavored bubbles, arts and crafts activities, and themed photoshoots. That’s right—your pup can chase and chomp on flavored bubbles during our playroom bubble parties, harness their inner artist with paw-painted masterpieces, and strike a pose with props and backdrops.
In addition to all the fun activities during your pup’s day, they will meet their BFFFs (Best Furry Friends Forever), allowing them to tap into their natural pack instincts as they enjoy the company of like-minded friends. This type of proper socialization, enforced by our team of Canine Coaches, can help improve their comfort level around others and raise their confidence in unfamiliar environments, contributing to better behavior overall.
Maintaining doggy wellness is a main priority for us at Dogtopia of Rocklin, which is why we provide a space to help pups stay moving and active throughout their day at daycare. Dogtopia dogs average 60k steps compared to the 8k dogs at home average. We achieve this through fun games and by playing on our playrooms’ play equipment, like slides and ramps, that strengthen muscle and coordination. To create novelty, we like to change up the activities frequently, and include obstacle courses and coordinate training games like follow the leader, name recall, door control, and more!
QUALITY DOG DAYCARE, BOARDING & MORE IN ROCKLIN, CALIFORNIA
Our Dogtopia facility is 4,200 square feet and has three playrooms, each divided by size and temperament. Our Park playroom is designed for smaller breeds, our City playroom is home to larger-sized younger pups, and our Beach room is the hangout for older, more mature dogs. Rather than one large space with dividers, as you might see in other dog facilities, we have actual rooms to minimize distractions and ensure pups are focused on their furry friend group rather than the dogs in neighboring playrooms.
We offer Pay Per Play daycare options with a full-day or half-day pass, depending on what your schedule looks like. You can also try one of our enrollment plans, which provides a consistent daycare routine that your pup can look forward to on a weekly or monthly basis. This popular option among pet parents offers many benefits that both you and your furry friend can enjoy.
If you need to book a staycation for your pup while you’ll be away for the night or longer, we offer overnight boarding services that combine the fun of daycare during the day and comfort and care in the evening. We create a home-away-from-home environment that will feel like the ultimate doggie sleepover. Plus, they’ll be ready to drift off to dreamland in no time, thanks to their daycare activities.
To give your pup some well-deserved pampering, we have a full-service, modern dog spa that’s a serene, safe environment. Maintaining your furry family member’s hygiene routine is key to maintaining their overall health, and our team makes it easy with baths, nail trims, teeth brushing, and more.
Dogtopia of Rocklin has earned certification status as a Heroes for Healthy PetsTM facility. The Heroes for Healthy PetsTM Certification Program in Infectious Disease Management provides training for preventative care, including strategic vaccination, and cleaning and disinfection protocols to help maintain disease-free facilities and keep pets healthy.
The program is co-sponsored by the International Boarding and Pet Services Association, National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America, Pet Sitters International, VETgirl, and Barkleigh Productions.
why your dog will love our indoor playrooms
As an indoor dog facility, we’ve paid close attention to important interior details so that each pup feels comfortable playing throughout the day. All our playrooms include:
- Compressed rubberized flooring: Rather than rough gravel or cement, our flooring is softer on paw pads, which helps promote joint and hip health. Plus, it is easy to sanitize.
- Full soundproof walls: To help reduce noise, we have full, floor-to-ceiling walls that keeps the fun contained to just your dog’s playroom. By eliminating the potential for pups to see and hear others from neighboring playrooms, we create a relaxing environment without creating barrier frustration.
- Double-barrier doors: Safety is a top priority for us at Dogtopia of Rocklin. To add another layer of security, we have a space between our hallway and playroom that we use to prep your pup before entering their playroom, which ensures controlled entries and exits.
- Advanced HVAC systems: We circulate fresh, clean air into our facility so that the air your pup breathes is odor-free and sanitary. This system also allows us to climate control our playrooms to maintain a comfy playtime temperature.
While your pup enjoys a comfortable and open-play space, you can rest assured that we follow strict cleanliness guidelines set by Dogtopia’s Environmental Biologist and Veterinary Scientist. Twice a day, we deep clean all surfaces in each playroom, using dog-safe, chemical-free cleaning products so your furry friend never encounters harsh fumes.
LIVE HD WEBCAMS TO CHECK IN ON YOUR DOG
Our webcams are in each playroom and are on during daycare hours, which are as follows:
- Monday to Friday: 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- Saturdays: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Sundays: formal daycare is closed, and cameras are off (our staff is in the facility spending time with and focusing on our boarding dogs)
As long as you have a device that connects to the internet, you can tune in to our livestreams and watch your pup have tail-wagging fun with their furry friends.
GET TO KNOW OUR TEAM OF CANINE COACHES
The Canine Coaches at Dogtopia of Rocklin are the ones who are in the playrooms engaging with your pup, helping them “break the ice” with others and assisting them with the exercises, activities, brain games, and more so they have the best time in our care.
Our Coaches are experts in interacting with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and play styles. They follow an established four-part training curriculum to learn how to read doggy body language effectively and know when pups need a break from playtime or help socializing with other dogs. Essentially, they are “dog mind readers” and can best predict behavior before it happens.
The curriculum they complete is approved for continuing education credits by the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants and the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers, ensuring top-notch care for your pet. You can trust that our Coaches will treat your dog like family.
In addition to providing care, our Coaches also offer periodic report cards to help you see how your dog’s day went. These report cards include details about your dog’s behavior and the friends they made. Our daycare regulars receive even greater insight into their pup’s time in our care as our Coaches get to know them better with each visit.
PASSING THE INITIAL MEET & GREET
A Dogtopia Meet & Greet is exactly how it sounds; it is our chance to meet you and your pup and for you to get to know our facility. The goal is to ensure Dogtopia of Rocklin is the best fit for your dog, and we achieve this through a 20-30-minute assessment led by our team of experienced evaluators. Here is what you can expect:
- Health overview: We will review your pup’s health history and current health to ensure they are feeling their best while in our care.
- Facility tour: We want both you and your furry family member to feel comfortable in our space, so we will show you around, including your pup’s future playroom, and answer any questions you may have.
- Nose-to-tail evaluation: In our evaluation room, our team will test for any touch sensitivities that your dog may have so that we can make note of it in the future.
- Controlled mini play area: This is the daycare test-drive stage of the evaluation where we’ll bring in some other like-minded dogs and see how your pup responds.
- Crate test: Since our home-style crates are used for midday naps and overnight (for our boarding pups), we use this time to assess their comfort level.
- Assessment results: Once our evaluators have gathered their observations, we will let you know if your dog is ready to join our Dogtopia family or if they need a bit more time to be comfortable in our off-leash, open-play setting. You are welcome to come back at a later date to try again.
You can schedule your Meet & Greet using our online form.

OUR COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Our local relationships include the Rocklin Chamber of Commerce, which we have been a member of since opening in 2019, and RRUFF dog park, which we have been a sponsor of since opening in 2019.
A unique aspect of our Dogtopia is our involvement with adults on the autism spectrum. Owner Diane Foos is a former special education attorney representing students with special needs, and this is her passion. When she joined Dogtopia, she had the opportunity to assist with the network employment initiative for adults with autism, which included the opportunity to contribute to writing the handbook/manual and participate in training. At any given time, it is not unusual for Dogtopia of Rocklin to have several interns on the autism spectrum and several employees on the spectrum as well!
Diane also had the opportunity to get involved with the TAP Meristem program, which promotes training and assistance for California companies interested in hiring adults with autism. She was even invited to record training modules for an online training program available to all California businesses!
GET TO KNOW DOGTOPIA OF ROCKLIN’S OWNER, DIANE FOOS
Diane Foos and her pup, Flo, were the first participants in the Dogtopia Foundation’s initiative to bring trained dogs into schools to have students read to them!
Research has shown many positive improvements in students’ reading abilities when they regularly read to a dog. Dogtopia has been working with an organization called Pet Partners to ensure all dog/person teams are properly trained and prepared to visit schools. Diane and Flo received their certification from Pet Partners and continue to visit schools so students can read to Flo!
