Our pet parents can’t rave enough about our state-of-the-art 5,500 sq ft. facility. With three spacious, temperature-controlled playrooms, each intentionally designed with dogs’ needs in mind, our daycare pups have the freedom to run around off-leash with their new group of BFFFs (Best Furry Friends Forever).

Each playroom is uniquely designed to support dogs of different sizes, personalities, and temperaments. This helps promote a comfortable play environment where dogs can safely socialize and get to know one another. Smaller dogs who are 25lbs and under have fun in our Toy Box, larger and more mature dogs enjoy our Gym, and medium-sized dogs with high playtime energy are an excellent fit for our Romper Room. As your pup grows or their play style changes, they can graduate to a playroom that better aligns with them.

Since our playrooms are indoors, we have the luxury of setting a temperature that’s best for doggie playing. This is thanks to our advanced HVAC systems in each playroom that maintain a climate-controlled environment and keep the air fresh and circulating. With no need to worry about the weather outside, your dog will feel eager and comfortable to play at our facility and will look forward to each visit.

We have also designed our playrooms with safety in mind. Our unique compressed rubber flooring is non-absorbent, odor-resistant, and ideal for cleaning and sanitation. Compared to gravel or cement that you might find in other doggie daycares or at dog parks, our rubberized material is ideal for pups to walk and run on, as it aids in the long-term health of their pads, hips, and joints. We also have walls that separate each playroom rather than fencing, which helps prevent and contain any airborne bacteria or viruses.

It is always a playtime party at Dogtopia of Viera as our pups can mingle with one another throughout their time at daycare while engaging in fun activities and games to keep their minds sharp and their tails wagging. As a result, boredom is lessened, and excitement is heightened! And because our daycare dogs average 30,000 steps a day, compared to dogs at home who only average 8,000 steps, by the time you pick them up their sleepiness, which we call the Dogtopia Daze, will be in full effect.

Pet parents can enroll in one of our weekly wellness plans for a more consistent play schedule. Our plans provide your dog with a daycare routine where they can visit us on a weekly basis. We prioritize the health and safety of your dog. We want our facility to be a comforting place where they can be their best doggie selves. This is why we incorporate a Meet & Greet evaluation before their first day of daycare with us, and all dogs must pass it before entering our facility. Performed by our trained evaluator, we determine how well an off-leash, open-play environment suits your dog.

During this assessment, we set up a controlled mini-play area with other dogs to determine how well your pup gets along with others. We also observe how they respond to staff interaction and touch, and assess their comfort in our home-style crates, which they will be napping in or staying in overnight if boarding.

To ensure all dogs at Dogtopia of Viera feel healthy and strong, we will perform a snout-to-tail evaluation during the Meet & Greet and record our overall wellness observations. Additionally, each dog must have up-to-date vaccinations (i.e., Rabies, Bordetella, DHPP, etc.), puppies must be at least 12 weeks old to join, and dogs that are seven months and older must be spayed or neutered.

This is also an excellent time for us to get to know you! When you arrive on Meet & Greet day, we can show you around our facility and answer any of your questions. After all, we want this experience to benefit pups and pet parents alike.

To keep our playrooms safe while encouraging socialization, exercise, and learning, our Canine Coaches supervise and maintain the fun. With their extensive training, they are experts in canine behavior and body language and are there to provide care if any pup starts feeling uneasy or anxious. Since our Canine Coaches observe each pup throughout the day, we can provide pet parents with occasional report cards outlining their dog’s behavior, how their day went with staff, and the furry friends they made.

In addition to the safety measures we took when constructing our facility, we continue implementing several cleaning protocols to keep our playrooms safe and fresh for all that playing! Created by Dogtopia’s Veterinary Scientist and Environmental Biologist, these protocols ensure we sanitize all surfaces multiple times a day with cleaning products that are safe to use around dogs.

Whether you are away from your pup for the day or for an extended amount of time, we have webcams equipped in each of our playrooms where you can tune in during play hours to see your dog engaging in fun games and playing with their furry friends. Our private stream is only for pet parents with pups enrolled in daycare and is accessible on our website and free mobile app.
