Meet the Owners

Larry and Sherry Hartjoy grew up in Anaheim and became high school sweethearts. They married after dating for 13 years and started their family with what they fondly call their “furry kids.” Jet, Jemima, Bonnie and Obie, their first furry kids, were Labrador retrievers and truly beloved family members. Sherry worked full time in the medical field and Larry enjoyed his career as a quality assurance professional for large corporations in the high tech, plastics and implantable medical device industries. Amidst their busy schedules, they have always found great joy spending quality time in the beautiful surroundings of Southern California with their children, Brendan and Candace, and their furry kids. For Larry and Sherry the outdoors, family, and furry kids are their absolute passions in life.

With careers spanning nearly three decades, they knew they wanted to leverage their love for dogs and make a big change in their professional lives. So when the opportunity to own and operate their very own Dogtopia franchise came up, they knew it was a perfect fit. They are excited to provide love and care for other people’s furry kids in a safe, happy, and fun environment. Dogtopia of Anaheim Hills has not only beautiful play rooms and a spa, but also three amazing outdoor yards complete with pools, waterfalls, K9 grass, shade sails and plenty of our fantastic Southern California weather. Larry and Sherry’s aim is to shower every single dog with lots of love and attention – just like they would their own.
