We’d love to spend all day playing with our pup, but taking our four-legged family member on a business trip or vacation isn’t always possible. Dogtopia of Bloomington offers a number of boarding options, whether you’re just looking to leave your dog overnight or for an extended period of time.
We are located 9 miles from the Minneapolis/St.Paul Airport (MSP) for a convenient drop off on your way out of town. You’ll have a happy and healthy hound on your hands when you pick them up from boarding with us!
Our highly-trained team will treat your pup like they’re our own, providing the play and attention they deserve. In order to achieve the highest level of safety in our playrooms, we may require a trial day of daycare for your dog prior to any boarding stay.
WHAT SETS OUR DOG BOARDING APART
When you board your dog at Dogtopia of Bloomington, they will have fun! Dogs boarded at our facility enjoy open play all day. We do not have kennel runs; instead boarding dogs enjoy full use of our open playrooms just like daycare dogs. Staying in a new environment can be stressful for a dog, which is why they are boarded in the same room they play in and surrounded by other dogs to create a “pack” environment. We also offer larger individual suites if your dog is more comfortable in a more open space.
Dogs are social animals, which is why we ask that you drop your dog off before 5 pm if they are going to spend the night. This gives them the chance to play with the other dogs and get used to our facility before bedtime. It’s recommended to bring your pup for a day of daycare prior to boarding so we know they are comfortable in an open play setting and they get used to the facility prior to being left for a longer stay. They tend to be less nervous, eat better, and have more fun.
Your dog will enjoy approximately 12 hours of open play throughout the day. When your pup turns in for the evening, they will be tired but happy. And best of all, they will have made new BFFFs (best furry friends forever)!
Dogtopia of Bloomington’s dog care professionals will take every step to ensure that your dog is happy, healthy and comfortable during their stay. We encourage our customers to bring any blanket (no beds) their dog is used to. Having something familiar will help with any homesickness or separation anxiety your dog may have. Maintaining their regular diet is also important, that’s why we recommend bringing your pup’s regular food.
WEBCAM ACCESS
Your dog may not be the only one who has separation anxiety; that’s why we offer webcam access so you can check in on your dog during our open hours using a desktop or mobile device, including through our convenient app! Watch them make friends and have fun in one of our playrooms.
SUPERVISED SAFETY
It is our mission to provide dogs with a safe and fun environment. We ask that you bring your dog to our location first so our team can conduct a personal meet and greet your dog and get to know them to determine if they are the right fit for our open play environment. We also require that any dogs that stay with us have up to date vaccinations and be free of fleas, ticks and any contagious diseases.
SPA SERVICES
You’re aware of how great a day at the spa can be, so why not give your dog the same luxurious treatment? We offer any of our spa services during your boarding stay with an additional 10% discount (excludes grooming services). Your pampered pup can be clean, clipped and groomed when you pick them up.
There’s so much more to our spa services than baths; your dog can receive treatments that include a bath, nail trimming, Deshedding, teeth brushing, ear cleaning, or grooming. You may just feel jealous of your pup once they’re done!
