What is it Like Working at Dogtopia (What do we do)?
Open Play Supervision: Canine Coaches are responsible for supervising and maintaining a safe, open-play environment, providing enrichment through a variety of stimulating activities, and engaging with the dogs to create bonds by practicing simple commands and using positive reinforcement.
Cleaning: Canine Coaches are responsible for helping uphold high standards of cleanliness by using our pet-safe cleaning products to freshen and sanitize our playrooms multiple times a day. Extra deep cleaning around the facility and on the weekends allows all dogs in our care to stay happy, healthy, and go home smelling fresh.
Spa Services: All dogs deserve a spa day! We promote cross training in multiple roles to help our Canine Coaches find the best fit for them. Providing baths and other spa services to our dogs is one of the extra positions you may have the opportunity to grow into with the company.
Having FUN: Bonding with like-mind coworkers who share your passion for animals, watching our puppies grow up in daycare, and creating relationships with our Pet Parents are just a few perks of the role. You could even say it’s the Most Exciting Job Ever!
Extensive Training and Continued Education
Caring for our four-legged family members is a big responsibility, so our employees are first provided with online training modules curated by a team of veterinarians, canine behavioral specialists, and environmental biologists that cover topics such as canine behavior, psychology, and health. After completing the online modules, our new team members will complete a hands-on training curriculum over the course of two weeks. Additional training modules are assigned over the duration of employment and team-building workshops are conducted quarterly. This ensures our staff and our dogs remain safe, happy, and healthy.
