About the Team Lead role
The Team Lead is responsible for maintaining accountability and safety for a team of employees and a large group of customer dogs! We are a fast-paced business and the candidate should be prepared to spend the entire shift on his/her feet. Multi-tasking and maintaining organization in a busy enironment is required.
Team Leads must meet the following requirements, demonstrate leadership, as well as outstanding customer service both internally and externally.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Upholding and setting the example for our company values
- Overseeing development of team members, including offering regular feedback throughout the shift
- Providing the highest level of customer service to our clients
- Placing dogs into appropriate playrooms for all day play
- Removing dogs from play when pet parent arrives – giving detailed feedback about the dog’s day
- Ability to invoice customer purchases accurately
- Ensuring all Dogtopia health and safety policies are followed
- Evaluating new dogs who would like to enroll in our program
- Ensure cleanliness of the facility at all times
- Completing baths and nail trims for customers
- Have direct management experience of a team of 5 or more employees. This is an entry level position, but you must have some prior management experience at a minimum
- Have a genuine affinity for dogs; they are the center of our business!
- Be willing and able to complete our E-learning protrom modules (attending the playrooms will be required on occasion)
- Possess strong verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate proven customer service skills

- Dog Daycare, Veterinary or Shelter 2 year (Preferred)
- Sales Management: 1 Year (Preferred)
- Bachelors or Associates Degree Preferred
