Fort Collins Dog Boarding

Home sweet home away from home where I can have my own blanket and doggie personal space.

If you are a Colorado-based pet parent looking for a home-away-from-home environment while you’re away, our boarding service can provide a comforting space for your dog. Whether you’re going on a trip, won’t be available for your pup’s evening walk or bedtime, or simply want to work on your furry friend’s separation anxiety, an overnight stay at Dogtopia of Fort Collins will provide the care they need.

Boarding is like a big sleepover at our facility. Each pup has a dedicated home-style crate and is positioned next to their bestie from daycare each day. Boarding comes with a full day of play at daycare, and by bedtime, dogs are ready to relax and rejuvenate for the next day. We hold three play sessions daily: pre-lunch, after lunch, and one after dinner. That way, pups stay active rather than in their crate for most of the day like you might see at a kennel-type setting. We also offer pet parents the opportunity to add cuddle sessions and games of fetch to their pup’s boarding stay.

All our indoor playrooms are designed to keep dogs safe and comfortable. Our flooring is made from compressed rubber, offering a soft surface that supports healthy joints, while our soundproof, floor-to-ceiling walls reduce noise from neighboring rooms. For added security, we have double-barrier doors to keep a space between our main hall and the playroom. To keep our environment fresh, each playroom is equipped with an advanced HVAC system that circulates clean air and maintains a comfortable temperature no matter the weather outside. We also have a secure outdoor play area for when the weather does cooperate, adding a novel environment to our dogs’ day.

A clean space is important to all of us here at Dogtopia of Fort Collins, which is why we sanitize our playrooms twice a day using dog-safe, chemical-free cleaning products and follow protocols set by Dogtopia’s Veterinary Scientist and Environmental Biologist. There may be a bunch of dogs playing at our facility, but you wouldn’t be able to tell by smell alone!

The dog boarding experience at dogtopia of Fort Collins

Our boarding pups get all the benefits of daycare, including physical and mental stimulation through agility-focused exercises, brain games, and socialization opportunities with their furry friend circle. Boarding dogs also get a late-night play period, which usually turns into a cuddle session.

During the day, our team loves hosting occasional playroom bubble parties with flavored bubbles and doggie photoshoots with themed props. From arts & crafts to special treat days and so much more in between, there’snever a dull moment around here! Check out our events schedule to see what your pup can participate in next!

When you drop your dog off at our facility, they’ll join our morning daycare pups and other boarding pals in one of our five playrooms that match their age, size, temperament, and play style. Our goal is for dogs to feel safe and comfortable in our space, and this organized playroom system helps us achieve it. Find out which playroom your pup fits into on our daycare page.

On average, dogs at our facility reach up to 60,000 steps per day, improving their cardiovascular health, maintaining a healthy weight, and strengthening their muscles. In contrast, dogs at home usually take about 8,000 steps a day, making Dogtopia of Fort Collins a great option for their overall well-being.

After a busy morning of play and learning opportunities, pups wind down for lunch and nap time around noon in their home-style crates while our team cleans and refreshes the playrooms. Two hours later, they’re back to playing and socializing. When the day wraps up, our daycare dogs go home while our overnight guests have dinner, enjoy another play session, and settle in for a restful night. With a full day of activity behind them, bedtime is a breeze!

We ask that pet parents enroll their dogs in at least three days of daycare before booking an overnight stay. Becoming accustomed to our space, team, and other dogs can help create a more familiar experience at our facility and reduce any stress your pup may feel about being away from you.

SUPERVISED DOGGY PLAYROOMS

Our dedicated team of Canine Coaches, expertly trained in dog behavior and body language, are there to supervise pups, encourage socialization, and make sure your dog is having the Most Exciting Day Ever. They have the skills to spot shifts in behavior and step in when needed, keeping the playroom atmosphere fun and safe. Our Coaches also organize the tail-wagging fun events, making them active participants in your dog’s day.

When your furry friend’s boarding stay wraps up, our team is happy to share how your pup’s time was with us. Feel like you’ll miss your pup too much while you’re away? We’ve got you covered! You can check in with our live HD webcams that are equipped in each playroom. No matter where you are, if you can access Dogtopia’s website or mobile app, you can access our webcams.

Boarding requirements at dogtopia of Fort Collins

For your dog to join us, they must pass our Meet & Greet, a 20–30-minute evaluation where we review their health history, check for any touch sensitivities with a nose-to-tail assessment, and introduce them to other pups to see how they interact. We’ll also assess how they settle into our home-style crates for a midday nap and overnight stay.

Once our team of evaluators gives you the green light, you’re welcome to book your pup’s daycare visit and, subsequently, their overnight stay. To maintain a safe space, we have some additional requirements that all dogs at our facility must meet:

  • At least 12 weeks old
  • Those seven months or older must be spayed or neutered
  • Free from communicable conditions and in good health
  • Vaccines, including Bordetella, Rabies, and DHLPP/DHPP (also known as distemper/parvo), must be up to date

Click here to schedule your Meet & Greet online.
