Our boarding dogs will enjoy a full day of daycare and all of the benefits it brings while also receiving quality care into the evening as our team prepares them for a restful sleep. We have home-style crates and private suite options, both offering comfort and security for our pups. Pet parents must bring their dog to daycare three times before booking a boarding stay, as this ensures pups will feel comfortable in their surroundings, with our team, and with our other furry guests.
DOG BOARDING IN FULSHEAR, TX
Our brand-new, state-of-the-art facility is 5,500 sq ft. and hosts three playrooms and a spacious 1,000 sq ft. outdoor play space. Dogs at Dogtopia of Fulshear-Katy are assigned to rooms based on their size and play style to ensure all of our pups feel comfortable in their environment. Our Romper Room is ideal for our medium-sized dogs with more playtime energy, our Gym is best for larger and more mature dogs, and pups 35 lbs and under are a great fit in our Toy Box playrooms.
Each playroom is designed with your dog’s best interests in mind. When constructing our playrooms, we used full walls rather than fencing or dividers to separate each room to contain and prevent any doggie airborne viruses, which also helps maintain dogs’ attention on each other rather than neighboring playrooms. The flooring is made of a compressed rubberized material that is both soft and durable to help protect the longevity of healthy paws, hips, and joints. Our advanced HVAC systems keep each playroom climate-controlled while helping to keep fresh air circulating.
We also equipped webcams in our playrooms, so pet parents can check in on their pup no matter where they are. Our secure live stream access is available during playtime hours on our website or free mobile app. Watching them run, play, and socialize with their new friend group will be the cutest thing you’ll see all day! We also have additional cameras throughout our facility that our management team watches at to maintain safety and security. Our protocols help us manage the safety and movement of pups within our space at all times. That way, all of our dogs can enjoy a comfortable atmosphere throughout their stay.
DOG BOARDING SCHEDULE AT DOGTOPIA OF FULSHEAR – KATY
At drop-off, your pup will immediately participate in the morning fun in our playrooms, where they will engage in mind-stimulating brain games and agility-focused exercises, all while forming special bonds with their new BFFFs (Best Furry Friends Forever). At noon, dogs receive some well-deserved “me time” where they will nap in our home-style crates, chow down on lunch that our team prepared in our kitchen (we recommend pet parents bring their dog’s food from home), and take any necessary medication, as directed by pet parents. In addition to nap time, we may use crates to separate dogs to allow us to keep the playroom safe. However, they typically do not stay in their crates for more than a couple of minutes, unless they’re sleeping.
For two hours, dogs will recharge their energy before returning to playing with their furry friend group at 2:00 p.m., where they will play until the evening. From there, our team will prepare dinner by hand-feeding our pups before going to bed for the evening to catch some Zs. Our home-style crates are located in the same playrooms they were in during the day to add comfort and familiarity to their stay, and our boarding guests will be safely secured for the night in their own space. Our team arrives early in the morning to let the dogs out in our secure outdoor play space, and will feed and get them ready for open play that morning.

STEPS TO MAINTAIN A SAFE BOARDING EXPERIENCE IN FULSHEAR
All dogs at Dogtopia of Fulshear-Katy remain under the care and supervision of our expert Canine Coaches. Trained in managing and interacting with dogs of all breeds and sizes, they are there to facilitate enjoyable activities and exercises to ensure each pup has The Most Exciting Day Ever.
With training approved by the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants and the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers, pet parents can rest assured that their furry family member is in caring, qualified hands. Our Canine Coaches understand dog body language and notice small changes in doggie behavior. Their swift, thoughtful responses can help pups engage more with the group, prevent any playroom scuffles before they happen, and maintain the fun.
Our 24-hour alarm monitoring system alerts our team of any outside movement and temperature changes. This means that while our boarding dogs are drifting off to dreamland, our team can ensure their environment is always comfortable and secure.
One of our initial safety steps is our Meet & Greet – a short but thorough evaluation that all dogs must pass to enter our facility. Our trained evaluator will check your dog’s health history and ensure an updated vaccination record, and we will also perform a nose-to-tail assessment. From there, we will determine their comfort level in our home-style crates, which is where they will spend napping and overnight (unless in our private suites), as well as their response to staff interaction and other pups in our controlled mini-play area.
Note: All dogs must be 12 weeks old, and those older than seven months must be spayed/neutered.
Our safety procedures also extend to inside our playrooms. At Dogtopia of Fulshear-Katy, we believe a safe playroom is synonymous with a clean one. We sanitize all surfaces multiple times a day using dog-safe cleaning supplies, and all of our protocols are backed by Dogtopia’s Veterinary Scientist and Environmental Biologist, which makes us stand out from other dog daycare centers in North America.
