Whether you are going on vacation or headed to the mountains or beach, have your dog spend the night with us. While here, they will enjoy 8-10 hours of open play at daycare and a comfy spot to sleep. It will be like a staycation of their very own! Our friendly and attentive staff ensures that our facility feels like a second home for your pup.
During the day, your furry family member will enjoy supervised off-leash, open play our daycare dogs as they engage in agility-focused exercises to keep them active. Even though we’re an indoor facility, your pup will get all the exercise they need during their stay with us. In fact, Dogtopia dogs average up to 60k steps a day—an incredible way to boost their cardiovascular health and improve their overall wellbeing. Your furry friend will also participate in in the fun activities we have planned, such as photoshoots, crafts, brain games, special treats, playroom bubble parties, and more.
By night, they will sleep comfortably in the same playroom they spent the day in, offering them a familiar and cozy environment. You can bring their bed or blanket that reminds them of home so they rest easier. We also recommend bringing the food that they’re familiar with so they can maintain a sense of consistency and reduce digestion issues. However, if you prefer, we have food options on-site.
OUR STAYCATION ITINERARY
Dogs who board with us will be greeted by our team at 6 a.m. with fresh water and a chance to use the bathroom before being fed breakfast away from the others to ensure total focus. They will play for the morning with their friend group until they take a rest from 12-2 p.m. to nap and eat lunch. From there, they will resume play in our indoor and outdoor play areas and enjoy all that daycare offers.
At 6:30 p.m., we will feed your pup, let them rest for an hour, give them a chance to play a little more, drink water, and use the restroom before being tucked in for the night. After a full day of playing, they will drift off to dreamland in no time in a home-style crate located in the same playroom they just spent the day in, which reduces anxiety and feelings of the unknown. Plus, they will have made friends with other pups, so knowing they are nearby adds a sense of safety and comfort.
Many of our pet parents also choose a doggie spa visit during their pup’s boarding stay, which adds an extra element of pampering. We offer several treatments so that your furry friend will come home smelling fresh and feeling their best.
How are we different than other boarding facilities? Our overnight price includes a FULL DAY and a HALF of daycare—no extra fees like some of our competitors in the area. Drop them off in the morning of boarding as early as 6:30 a.m. and pick them up by noon the next day, and it is all included in the overnight price.
To prepare for all the fun your pup will have at daycare, we strongly encourage your pup to have at least three days of daycare experience under their collar. It adds some familiarity to their stay, lets them get used to our staff and environment, and teaches them that you will always come back to pick them up.
STATE-OF-THE-ART DOGGIE PLAYROOMS
Our facility features two separate playrooms designed to meet the needs of dogs of various sizes, temperaments, and play styles. Our Beach is for smaller pups who feel more comfortable around others their own size, while our Park playroom is for the larger, more mature dogs that enjoy hanging with those who match their playtime vibe. We also have an outdoor playroom for those sunny Greenville days that each group will get to enjoy during the day.
Each playroom has compressed rubberized flooring for comfort and joint health, soundproof walls to reduce noise, and double-barrier doors for added security. Our advanced HVAC system maintains a comfortable temperature of 68 degrees, with continuous fresh air circulating to keep the environment odor-free.
We sanitize our playrooms twice daily, following guidelines from Dogtopia’s Environmental Biologist and Veterinary Scientist. We use only dog-safe cleaning products for deep and spot cleaning throughout the day to ensure the air pups breathe is chemical-free.
Being away from your furry family member can be hard, so we’ve installed HD webcams in each playroom for you to virtually join in on the tail-wagging fun. You can access these livestreams via our app or website, which means no matter where you are, if you can connect to the web, you can connect with your pup at Dogtopia of Haywood Road! Please note that our streams pause from 12-2 p.m. for nap and lunchtime and overnight for added privacy.
GET TO KNOW OUR CANINE COACHES
Our expert team of Canine Coaches interacts with each pup at our facility, providing care and attention as if they were their own. Skilled in doggy body language and behavior, thanks to completing a four-part training curriculum approved for continuing education by the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants and the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers, our Coaches can effectively “read the room” and respond accordingly. That means your pup will be in qualified hands throughout their stay with us.
REQUIREMENTS BEFORE BOARDING
Before you can book your pup’s overnight stay at Dogtopia of Haywood Road, they must pass our Meet & Greet—a 20–30-minute assessment where our team gets to know your dog, answers your questions, and makes sure our facility is the right fit for them. Our evaluators perform a wellness check on your pup to check for touch sensitivities, review their health history, create a mini play space with like-minded dogs to observe their interactions and assess comfort in our home-style crates, where they sleep overnight. By the end, we’ll either welcome your pup to Dogtopia of Haywood Road or recommend a bit more time before coming back and trying again once they’re more comfortable in an open-play, off-leash setting.
Before your dog’s overnight stay, we strongly recommend they experience at least three days of daycare. As well, all dogs must be at least 12 weeks old, spayed/neutered if seven months and older, free of communicable conditions (i.e., fleas, ticks, etc.), show no signs of aggression or toy protectiveness, and must have an up-to-date vaccination record that includes Bordetella, Rabies, and DHLPP/DHPP (also known as distemper/parvo).
