Monday through Friday
6:00am – 3pm and/or 1:00pm – 7:30pm (There is flexibility) Occasional 1pm-5pm Sat/Sun
$11.00 – $13.00 per hour
Flexibility to work at either location (Hickory Plaza or 8th Ave South) is preferable. Please also note if you have Pet Exec experience as that would be a significant plus!
Dogtopia is an award-winning provider of the highest quality dog care in the area. As we enter our second year of business at Hickory Plaza and our first year at our downtown location, we are in need of a reliable, friendly dog lovers to greet our pet parents and help coordinate daily doggie daycare needs seven days a week!
You MUST love dogs. If you do not have a GENUINE love of dogs, this is not the place for you.
We are seeking people who are mature enough to understand and accept the responsibility of caring for other people’s “children”. Your job will entail meeting and greeting customers and their active, playful dogs, in addition to front desk/reception tasks including (but not limited to) answering telephone calls, responding to emails, checking pups in and out, providing customer tours, maintaining client documentation and maintaining a clean organized workspace.
This is a HIGH energy, active position. You will feel overwhelmed at times, but that is ok – you have support! It is a very fun rewarding job for those who LOVE working with dogs! And best of all – you get to bring your dog to work!!! If you are someone who requires definitive routine and structure, this is not for you
Qualified applicants will have the following minimum requirements:
- Positive, energetic and enthusiastic attitude!
- Great written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Strong customer service skills
- Familiarity with point of sale systems (Pet Exec experience is a major plus!).
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Embrace our operational, health, safety, sanitation, and security policies/procedures.
- Ability to handle constructive feedback.
- Ability to work as part of a team and have strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage stress.
- Be willing to clean and organize – we pride ourselves on operating a very clean daycare facility
- A reliable work history
- Be able to withstand a very fast paced active job. This is the furthest thing from the typical desk job.

Only employees are allowed in the building. We provide a concierge service wherein we go out to the cars to bring the pets into the building.
