Meet & Greet FAQ
Do I need to schedule a Meet & Greet?
Yes, dogs who have not been to our facility require a Meet & Greet as each facility has its own group of dogs with individual personalities. How long do I need to be present?
We ask you remain in the lobby for 15-20 minutes while your dog is being evaluated. How much is the Meet & Greet?
Completely free! There is no charge associated with your dog’s Meet & Greet day.Is my dog ready?
A pack environment can be overwhelming for new dogs. We recommend that your dog has prior socialization experience, such as successfully interacting with other dogs on walks or at dog parks. When do I get webcam access?
Webcam access will be granted after your dog’s Meet & Greet is complete, ensuring the safety and well-being of all dogs and staff. What if my dog doesn’t pass?
If we determine your dog isn’t quite ready for a daycare setting, we’ll recommend additional preparation before attempting another evaluation.

MEET & GREET
Preparing FOR your MEET & GREET:
After scheduling your Meet & Greet online or over the phone, you’ll receive an email invitation to set up your Dogtopia Dashboard account. Through the Dashboard, you can update your contact details, add your dog’s information, upload vaccination records, and book future appointments. Once your account is set up and updated, you’ll be all set for your Meet & Greet!
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Please arrive at your scheduled Meet & Greet time with your dog on a leash and wearing a collar or harness. After we verify that all vaccinations are up-to-date and the Pet Parent Agreement is signed, we’ll begin the Meet & Greet process. This evaluation typically takes 15-20 minutes, during which you will remain in the lobby while we introduce your dog to our playgroup, starting with lower-energy dogs and gradually progressing to higher-energy dogs or puppies. Once the introductions are complete, we’ll update you on how your dog interacted. If the interaction goes well, we ask that your dog stays with us for at least 2 hours, completely free of charge!
Evaluation process:
We will evaluate your dog in five key areas
- How does your dog respond to staff touching and interacting with them?
- How receptive is your dog to interactions and sniffing from other dogs?
- How does your dog react when crated, and how do they handle being inside the crate?
- How does your dog behave in an open-play environment with dogs of varying sizes, breeds, and temperaments?
- How well does your dog manage feelings of anxiety, excitement, or overstimulation?
These categories help us assess your dog’s suitability for daycare, ensuring a safe and positive experience for your pup and our team!
Passing the Meet & Greet:
When you return to pick up your pup, we will let you know if they have passed the Meet & Greet and discuss next steps based on your goals. Additionally, we offer a Meet & Greet Package for $50, which includes 2 full days of daycare – a $110 value! This package is an excellent option for new boarders who need 2 days of daycare before their first boarding stay, or for anyone who wants to ensure daycare is a good fit for their pup!
