NEW PET PARENT?

If this is your pup’s first time at Dogtopia, there are a few things pet parents should prepare prior to rewarding your dog with the most exciting day ever!

As Dogtopians, we're a unique breed, we love and care for your pup like our own furry family.

At Dogtopia, our passion is giving every single dog the best-individualized care with their health, safety, and comfort as our top priority! Our home away from home environment is the perfect place for your pup to learn, play, and socialize with their BFFF (Best Furry Friend Forever).

Meet the Team

Amber Woods, Owner

Amber’s favorite thing about Dogtopia is getting to know all the pup personalities. She has been an animal lover since birth, having worked with both domestic and wild animals. Before coming to Dogtopia in 2021, she was a Management Consultant and now oversees the daily operations of Dogtopia of Houston. Amber and her husband Alex have two human children Gracie (6) and Grady (4), and a Vizsla named Velcro. They live in East Downtown and enjoy family bike rides along the Memorial Bayou and exploring the world through travel.

Tony Howdeshell, Executive Director

Tony spent 30 years serving the country in the Navy. After his military retirement he spent several years consulting mostly in the oil and gas industry. He and his family are all animal lovers. His wife, Ann-Marie volunteers at local shelters and is usually caring for rescues on her own. He has a 30 year old son and a 29 year old daughter who he partners with on a family run Halloween business. You’ll rarely see him without his support dog Sasha by his side. We are excited to have Tony (and Sasha) on the Dogtopia team!

Jimmy Rosado, Pet Parent Relationship Manager

Jimmy is a latin ray of sunshine whose laugh fills the room with joy! Prior to joining us here at Dogtopia, Jimmy worked for United Airlines. He is loyal to his friends and family and his heart belongs to his Chihuahua Cokita. He enjoys going on walks through the city, cheering on Houston’s sports teams with friends, and sampling our city’s great cuisine!

Lupita Castro, General Manager

Lupita has always had a deep passion for dogs, and her journey with Dogtopia has been a natural extension of that love. Lupita’s heart will forever belong to her beloved Marshmellow, a cherished companion who is no longer with her but will always be remembered. Outside of her work with dogs, Lupita enjoys exploring the city, discovering hidden gems, and trying out new restaurants. Whether it’s sharing a quiet moment with a furry friend or savoring a delicious meal, Lupita’s zest for life and love for animals shines through in everything she does.

Trisha Rainosek, Assistant Manager

Trisha is a dog lover and the proud owner of Casanova, an adorable Frenchie. Together they form an inseparable duo. Trisha’s free time consists of volunteering at local animal organizations, cooking, cleaning and watching TV in bed, cuddled up with her 3 dogs and her cat. Trisha goes above and beyond to create an exciting and safe environment for all the dogs at Dogtopia. Whether it is organizing fun-filled activities or just loving on all the dogs. She truly is a dog person!
