The dog flu rarely leads to a serious illness (it can cause pneumonia), but it is extremely contagious. With outbreaks being reported in California and Oregon this year and Michigan last year, we want to get ahead of what could be a serious situation if an outbreak happens in Virginia. All clients are required to be vaccinated to Canine Influenza starting January 1st. Any dogs not vaccinated will be turned away from daycare and boarding services.
