We can’t wait for you and your furry four-legged friend to experience our two year old 6,000 sq. ft. facility. When we built our modern space, we wanted to create an environment where all dogs would feel comfortable while remaining safe.

Our facility boasts three spacious playrooms designed to support dogs of different sizes, personalities, and play styles. Being in a safe, non-intimidating space helps dogs form close bonds with each other from day one.

Our three playrooms separate dogs by their size and play styles:

• Toybox: Smaller dogs (under 35 lbs)
• Romper Room: Medium to large dogs with more playtime energy
• Gym: Larger and more mature dogs

If your pup still has some growing to do, they can graduate to the playroom that best fit them.

Our daycare dogs can focus on playing, learning, and exercising without the weather outside impacting their day. Each indoor playroom is equipped with advanced HVAC systems that maintain a climate-controlled environment and keep the air fresh and circulating. As a result, it’s always the perfect temperature at Dogtopia of Bel Air!

When we constructed our three playrooms, much thought went into the materials that would create a comfortable space, especially since pups would be playing and running around for the entire day. This is why each playroom has unique compressed rubber flooring that is both odor-resistant and non-absorbent—ideal for those quick, “in the moment” clean-ups. Unlike other dog facilities that may use uncomfortable cement or gravel, our particular type of flooring is ideal for the long-term health of dogs’ paw pads, hips, and joints. No tender paws in our rooms!

To separate our playrooms, we use floor-to-ceiling walls. This helps us prevent and contain any airborne bacteria or viruses. We find this also helps keep our pups focused on one another rather than the dogs in the neighboring playrooms.

Our daycare dogs’ days are filled with fun activities, like special art & craft days, chasing bacon- and peanut butter-flavored bubbles, taking frame-worthy pictures at our themed photoshoots, and munching on tasty snacks during our healthy treat days. Your pup will never be bored at daycare!

Pet parents can choose between full- and half-day daycare options or enroll in one of our 1-day, 2-day, 3-day and unlimited weekly wellness plans, which offer a more consistent play schedule that your pup will love. These plans provide a range of benefits that both pet parents and pups can appreciate, and your dog will soon be anticipating their next visit thanks to their new daycare routine.

Need your dog to stay longer? Our overnight dog boarding stays can provide that home-away-from-home feeling when they can’t be by your side, like if you’re going on a trip or need a dog-free home during renovations. Our dog boarding guests enjoy full days of dog daycare and receive the specialized care they need at night to prepare them for a restful sleep. We have homestyle in-playroom crates and private suites—both comfortable options that can depend on if you have a larger dog or want to keep siblings together overnight.

SAFETY MEASURES AT DOGTOPIA OF Bel Air

We pride ourselves on the safety measures we take at our facility. We want pet parents to feel comfortable dropping off their pup for the day or for an extended stay, and we want our furry guests to have the fun they deserve in a safe and secure setting.

One of the first things we do to enforce our safety measures is schedule a Meet & Greet assessment with pet parents and their dog. Since our playrooms are an off-leash environment, we want to ensure each dog feels comfortable being around other furry friends in this type of setting. This is why our expert team will create a controlled mini-play area with some other dogs of similar size and temperament to see how they respond. It also gives us a chance to observe how they respond to interactions with our staff.

Additionally, since our homestyle crates are used during naptime and for pups staying overnight, we test their comfort level in a crate before they can start their first day with us.

We want all the pups at Dogtopia of Bel Air to feel their best doggie selves when they are in our care. That is why our assessment includes a snout-to-tail health evaluation, a review of your pup’s health history, and assurance that they are up to date on all vaccinations (i.e., rabies, Bordetella, DHLPP/DHPP, etc.). Don’t have your records on you? We’ll give your vet a call so that the process is seamless!

Please note that all dogs that attend our daycare must be at least 12 weeks old, and those seven months and older must be spayed or neutered.

Another step to maintaining a safe space is our stringent cleaning and sanitization processes. Dogtopia is the only national dog daycare brand with a veterinary scientist and environmental biologist working together to create cleaning protocols that each location must follow. Our team sanitizes surfaces in each playroom multiple times a day using pet-safe cleaning supplies. Our morning group of playing pups enjoy a freshly cleaned playroom, and during their lunch and naptime, our team goes back into the playrooms for an extra cleaning to ensure pups enjoy a fresh, sanitized space in the afternoon. We also frequently spot-clean during playtime for added comfort.

Dogtopia of Bel Air has earned certification status as a Heroes for Healthy Pets^TM facility. The Heroes for Healthy Pets Certification Program in Infectious Disease Management provides training for preventative care, including strategic vaccination, as well as cleaning and disinfection protocols to help maintain disease-free facilities and keep pets healthy. The program is co-sponsored by the International Boarding and Pet Services Association, National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America, Pet Sitters International, VETgirl, and Barkleigh Productions.

OUR TEAM OF DOG EXPERTS

We wouldn’t be the facility we are without our qualified team of Canine Coaches to supervise and encourage pups to learn, exercise, play, and socialize with one another. They are our fun facilitators, helping organize all the exciting daycare activities and ensuring everyone is having a comfortable, exciting time at daycare.

Our Canine Coaches are passionate about working with dogs; it shines through their actions and the care they provide. With their expert knowledge of dog body language and extensive training designed by a canine behaviorist, they can detect any small changes in behavior, even in a large group of dogs playing with each other. In addition, their training, which has been approved by the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants and the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers, allows them to manage dogs of all sizes and breeds, so pet parents can rest assured their pup is in qualified hands.

Ever wonder how your pup behaves when you’re not by their side? Since our Canine Coaches come to know and understand each daycare dog, they can provide pet parents with much more insight, which is outlined in the occasional report cards we send home. Pups get a grade in how well they behave, how they respond to staff, and their ability to form furry friendships. But not to worry—if there’s ever room for improvement, our expert team can help.
