What are different types of training methods for dogs?
There are several dog training methodologies that range from the correction based/alpha method to 100% positive reinforcement. These different philosophies use a variety of equipment to train dogs such as e-collars, prong collars, treats and simple praise. All training should be based on the science behind how dogs learn and focus, and encouraging the behavior the pet parent wants repeated, instead of severely correcting the dog when he makes a mistake.
