MODERN, STATE-OF-THE-ART DOG DAYCARE IN WEST ORANGE, NJ

Our team of dog-loving experts provides a welcoming environment where each pup can feel safe and loved while developing important socialization skills that will boost their confidence and social skills.

We have three ample-spaced, open-play playrooms that fill 3,536 square feet of our facility. To maintain safety and encourage pups to play together, we’ve divided playrooms by size and temperament:

• Small dogs will thrive in our Toybox (897 square feet)
• Medium-sized pups can enjoy playtime in our Romper Room (1,322 square feet)
• Larger breeds can interact with dogs their own size in our Gym (1,317 square feet)

With constant supervision, your dog can safely socialize, learn, and enjoy enriching experiences that help them become well-rounded, happy pets. We provide:

• 8-10 hours of off-leash, open play
• Activities that keep pups physically active, such as indoor obstacle courses and bubble chases
• The DASH activity monitor that provides insights into your dog’s health and wellness by tracking their activity data, including distance traveled, calories burned, and more

When we constructed our playrooms, we paid close attention to what would make a dog feel safe and comfortable while playing at our facility. With this in mind, our custom build includes:

• Compressed rubber flooring to alleviate strain on joints and be comfortable on paw pads
• A state-of-the-art HVAC system that refreshes and conditions the air every 11 minutes and maintains a comfortable temperature of 65-70 degrees year-round, no matter the weather outside.
• Double-barrier doors for secure entries and exits.
• Floor-to-ceiling walls instead of lightweight partitions like in some other facilities, making sure dog groups remain separated and free from distractions.

We clean our playrooms twice daily with dog-safe cleaning products and use a bio-enzymatic cleaner for quick spot treatments during play.  All playroom surfaces are sanitized, so you can feel confident that your furry friend is in a clean space.

SAFETY

We are staffed with trained professionals who supervise play to maintain dogs’ safety. Every daycare coach must complete an advanced four-part training program approved for continuing education by the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers.

To maintain a secure environment for all dogs, all our daycare guests must pass a Meet & Greet assessment to make sure our off-leash, open-play facility is a suitable match. Learn more about what to expect at the assessment here.

We happily welcome all breeds of dogs who are social, vaccinated (e.g., Bordetella, Rabies, and DHLPP/DHPP), and pass our Meet & Greet assessment. Puppies must be at least 12 weeks old and up to date on required vaccinations. Additionally, all dogs seven months and older must be spayed or neutered.

Canine guests must be in good overall health and free of any communicable conditions, including fleas and ticks. Dogs who have been ill with a communicable condition in the past 30 days will require a veterinarian’s certification of health to be admitted or re-admitted at our facility. 

ROUTINE

Since dogs thrive on routine, daycare can provide them with a consistent schedule of playtime, feeding, and rest.

From opening until noon, pups enjoy our activities and games, burning off all that morning energy with their friends. We then break for lunch so they can recharge, eat, and rest before we resume playtime at 2 p.m. By the time pick-up rolls around, your furry family member will be happily played out and ready to drift off to dreamland by the time you get home. WELLNESS PLANS

Enrollment, similar to a child’s daycare, allows for structured daycare visits (weekly or monthly). One of the benefits is that it allows pups to interact with familiar pack members, which can boost their confidence around others. The consistency of our wellness plans can help pups create a daycare routine that can help them thrive in an enriching space.

Our webcams are available from opening to noon when we break for lunch and naptime. The stream will return at 2:30 p.m. until closing so that you can catch all the tail-wagging fun. Pet parents with dogs in daycare can access our webcams via Dogtopia’s mobile app and website.
