Guelph Reviews
Campus Estates Shopping Centre, 35 Harvard Road, Guelph, Ontario N1G 3A2
The flexibility of the schedule works so well for us and our schedules. I work shift work and it’s great for that. Everyone is so friendly and genuinely caring. Our pup loves going to day care.
The staff are friendly and kind. The price is reasonable for the service provided. The dogs are cared for by people who very obviously like animals. The facility is super clean. The online booking is easy. The cameras to watch your dog while they are having fun there is amazing. Lastly, the way our dog pulls to get in that building out of sheer excitement tells me he loves it there and can’t wait to get to his room to see his buddies.
Friendly, clean, welcoming
It is a safe environment and I watched Nikki have a great day playing with other dogs. She was exhausted and happy when I picked her up.
Easy intake, friendly
Sadie loves the crew in Guelph. They treat her very well. I have recommended them to all my dog loving friends .
The good stuff. First, overall we were very satisfied with the friendliness of the staff and the attention paid to the animals. Second, we loved the webcams and have to admit we were frequently checking in to watch our puppy.
The areas of improvement from my perspective are two. First, Noble is still on a 4 meals a day plan for then next few weeks. We had asked that he be fed around 4. The staff informed us that he would be crated for an hour after feeding and we said this was fine. My husband picked Noble up at 4:35 and he still hadn’t been fed. The staff member said they didn’t want him to miss out on play time but what if we hadn’t come to pick him up for another hour or more; would he still not have been fed. I am not sure if this was an oversight or if this is a regular thing that instructions are missed. This is certainly concerning for us. Second, I am not keen on how the bathroom situation for the dogs is. We work hard to train Noble not to go just anywhere. I am not sure if he went during the 5 hours he was there (likely he did), however when my husband picked him up, Noble was desperate to go both pee and poo when he got outside meaning he was likely holding it as long as he could. I am thinking a better option in the rooms would be to section off a part of the room, it doesn’t have to be huge, with a fence and maybe an artificial grass set up, then open access to it once an hour or so (or when a dog sits near the gate) to imitate what they would be doing at home. A quick mop cleaning after each session would keep it sanitary. A system could be easily built that allows the pee to drain to a catchment system that could easily be emptied. While likely there would still be some accidents in the general area, most dogs would quickly get the hang of the process reducing their stress over going inside.
If you have any questions regarding my suggestions, do not hesitate to call me.
I would love more half day options. I’d also love more report cards to hear about how he is doing. Overall, very positive all around – the staff gives him lots of love.
Family feel at greeting to pick up.
It is convenient and the staff are very nice.
