Every dog deserves to live their best life, which is why we at Dogtopia of Orlando - Sanford strive to give our daycare pups The Most Exciting Day Ever! Our brand-new, state-of-the-art facility provides the opportunity for them to learn, play, and socialize with like-minded furry friends as they engage in brain-stimulating games and fun exercises designed to keep them active and feeling their best.
To add to the daycare experience, we hold themed photoshoots throughout the year and regularly throw bacon or peanut butter-flavored bubble parties, where they can jump and chase delicious bubbles around the playroom. There is no shortage of excitement here at Dogtopia of Orlando - Sanford!
Helping facilitate and maintain the fun are highly trained Canine Coaches who will keep a close eye on your dog during their time at daycare. Experts in pack behavior, our Coaches notice even the slightest changes in dog body language thanks to their extensive training designed by a Canine Behaviorist. As a result, they can effectively redirect issues, prevent possible scuffles, and offer breaks for dogs that may need it. Each Canine Coach must also complete a four-part training process that has been approved by the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants and the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers.
You can rest assured that your furry family member is in qualified and caring hands. Our entire Dogtopia of Orlando - Sanford team, is passionate about helping each pup develop into a well-rounded canine citizen. Many pet parents notice the positive difference in their dog in the periodic daycare report cards we provide them. We outline their pup’s behavior, who they socialized with, how they responded to our staff, and the furry friends they made during the day. Our regular daycare customers also receive tips from our experts on maintaining the positive reinforcement and training techniques at home.
Several daycare options are available for you to choose from, depending on your schedule. We also offer weekly wellness plans that can help give your dog a more consistent daycare routine. The more they experience daycare, the more comfortable they will feel and the more long-term benefits they will gain from regular play, exercise, and socialization.
QUALITY DOG DAYCARE IN SANFORD, FL
Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is incredibly important for dogs. Our off-leash, open-play facility is ideal for your pup to run around and play in a safe and supervised environment. With over 6,000 sq ft., we have three oversized playrooms designed to match your dog’s needs. To ensure each pup is comfortable socializing and forming bonds with others, we separate our daycare dogs based on their personality, size, and temperament.
Larger and more mature dogs are an ideal fit for our Gym playroom, while smaller dogs who are 25 lbs. and under feel most comfortable in our Toy Box. As for our medium-sized dogs with a bit more energy, they have fun in our Romper Room. Since our Canine Coaches are in each playroom to supervise and interact directly with each dog in the group, we ensure that there is a brain-stimulating activity for dogs to engage in or a fun agility exercise to enjoy no matter the playroom they are in.
One of the benefits of dogs playing in indoor playrooms is that the weather never determines what they do that day or if they even get the chance to play. Our climate-controlled playrooms are always set at an ideal playing temperate, so even on the hottest days, dogs can focus on their furry friends as they enjoy the games and activities organized by our Coaches.
During a full day of daycare, dogs experience a mix of play, exercise, and socialization for eight to ten hours, including brain games designed to improve behavior and test their problem-solving skills, agility courses to keep their mind sharp and their bodies moving, and the opportunity to fulfill their natural pack instinct to be around other dogs. Throughout the day, our daycare dogs are getting in much-needed cardio that is crucial for their health and are averaging at least 30,000 to upwards of 60,000 steps, which is significantly more than what the average dog gets at home. By pick-up time, our daycare dogs will have shifted into Dogtopia Daze mode, and by the time they get home, they will be sleepy and happily played out after burning off their pent-up energy.
INNOVATIVE PLAYROOMS AT DOGTOPIA OF Orlando - Sanford
All our playrooms are designed with doggie wellness as a top priority. Rather than dividing dogs using thin wire fencing, which some dog daycares do, we have full, soundproof walls to keep each playroom separate from the other. Not only does this help prevent and contain common doggie airborne viruses, but it also helps keep their attention focused on each other instead of pups in other rooms. After all, playtime deserves undivided attention!
Our playroom floors are made from a compressed rubberized material that is non-absorbent and odor-resistant, which makes any “in-the-moment” cleanups a breeze. This flooring is also great for maintaining long-term paw, hip, and joint health. Rather than opting for common flooring like cement or gravel, we want our daycare dogs to look forward to spending the day playing and exercising, and that starts with a comfortable floor.
We also account for the things we can’t see; HVAC systems are in each playroom to maintain climate control while helping keep the air clean and circulating.
Since health and safety are a top priority at Dogtopia of Orlando - Sanford, we thoroughly sanitize each playroom daily to help keep a fresh environment. We also use a pet-safe spot cleaner, if needed, while dogs are playing.
OUR DOG DAYCARE SAFETY MEASURES
Before any dog can visit our facility for daycare, they must pass our Meet & Greet evaluation performed by our trained evaluator. This helps us determine if an off-leash play area is ideal for your dog while ensuring they feel comfortable around new people and dogs.
During the 20-30 minute evaluation, we will perform a nose-to-tail assessment and health history overview and confirm that your pup is up-to-date with their vaccinations (i.e., Bordetella, DHPP, Rabies, etc.). If you do not have those records on you, we are happy to give your vet a call. We will also create a controlled mini-play area to see how your pup gets along with other dogs and how they respond to interactions with our staff.
Note: Puppies must be 12 weeks and older to enroll in daycare, and dogs seven months and older must be spayed or neutered.
While we ensure your dog feels calm and comfy in our space, we also want to ensure you feel confident in us. During your Meet & Greet, our team can show you our facility and answer any of your questions about daycare or the other services we offer. This is just as much your experience to learn more about us as it is for your pup!
The Dogtopia brand has commitments to safety that we at Dogtopia of Orlando - Sanford also value and implement closely. They include:
- A passion for providing pet parents and pups with the best possible service
- Health and safety protocols guided by a biologist, behaviorist and veterinarian working together
- A universal vow to treat your dogs like a member of the family
- 8-10 hours of open play to encourage socialization and exercise
