Since it’s establishment, Dogtopia has committed numerous efforts towards the betterment of our community. Through the Dogtopia Foundation, we have been funding programs focused on Service Dogs for Canadian Veterans, Therapy Dogs for Students, and Employment initiatives for Adults with Autism. Our location opened its doors in 2020 and since then we have sponsored 3 separate service dogs.
MEET OUR SPONSORED SERVICE DOGs
Our first pup Seymour was sponsored from Citidel and given to a retired veteran Mike. We are very fortunate that Mike and Seymour live close and we have been able to have them visit the facility and hear Mike and Seymour’s heartwarming story in person!
Our second sponsorship was done through Nation Service Dogs where we funded the training for a new service puppy Gatsby who we had the pleasure of helping name. Follow along on Gatsby’s journey, here.
Finally with the help of our gracious pet parents, we will be sponsoring Quill II this year, who is a part of the Pacific Assistance Dog Society.

Within the past year, our Dogtopia location has partnered with the Autism Resource Centre, as part of the Employment Initiatives for Adults with Autism. Through their partnership, we were given the privilege of working with Max. He is the most caring, kind, and compassionate individual, and our staff and dogs are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work with him. Max is an integral member of our team, and we wanted to honor him by participating in the Autism Walk 2023. Our employment initiatives for Adults has provided us with an outstanding team member, and we could not be more proud of the work Max has done and the relationships Max has developed with our staff and pups.
We thank our staff and our community for their continued support to such a wonderful cause.
