Our team has your pup’s physical, emotional, and mental well-being in mind, which is demonstrated through the activities we organize, the safety procedures we follow, and the loving care we provide. We treat each pup at Dogtopia of Rocklin like a member of our own family.

When you arrive for your pup’s first day of daycare, they will be greeted warmly and enjoy playing between eight to ten hours with their favorite Canine Coaches and BFFFs (Best Furry Friends Forever). By the time they leave, they will be tired and happy as they are sent on their way with a very loving goodbye and a treat! As for what happens during the day, your pup can expect:

• Brain games that help strengthen their problem-solving skills and stimulate their minds to prevent boredom.
• Fun agility-focused exercises disguised as games, so they don’t even realize they’re averaging 60k steps a day while improving their cardiovascular and overall health.
• Socialization opportunities with like-minded dogs to increase their confidence around others and in unfamiliar environments as they tap into their natural pack instinct.
• Bubble parties with flavored bubbles that float around our playrooms for pups to chase (and snack on).
• Themed photoshoots where we bring out costumes, backdrops, and props on special occasions or holidays that leave our pups’ tails wagging and you smiling ear to ear when you see the adorable pics we capture. You can see some of our past photoshoots on our Facebook and Instagram accounts.
• Craft days are always a hit, allowing our pups to flex their creative muscles.

When booking your dog’s daycare visit, you can choose between a half- or full-day pay-per-play pass or opt for one of our enrollment plans, which offers a stable wellness routine that your pup will enjoy. Dogs thrive off routines, so when they know that they will spend their day at Dogtopia of Rocklin, any uneasiness for what the day holds is gone. WHAT TO EXPECT FROM DOGTOPIA’S DOGGY PLAYROOMS IN ROCKLIN, CA

Our modern, state-of-the-art facility is 4,200 square feet with three separate playrooms, which your pup will be assigned to depending on their size, temperament, and play style. Unlike a dog park that often includes a mixed bag of doggy personalities, Dogtopia daycare offers stability and reassurance that your furry friend remains around others that match their energy.

The playrooms at Dogtopia of Rocklin include:

• Park: Smaller breeds can have their main character moment in a space without larger dogs towering over them.
• Beach: Older, more mature pups with the same playtime vibe will thrive.
• City: Larger, younger dogs will enjoy the space to run and play with furry friends their own size.

Each playroom follows the high-quality standard set by Dogtopia, which includes details that make for a comfortable experience as they play. First, daycare dogs will have their paw pads, hips, and joint health maintained with our soft flooring made from compressed rubberized flooring. Not only is it comfy, but it is also non-absorbent, which makes cleaning any potty mishaps during the day a breeze. Next is our floor-to-ceiling, soundproof walls that help reduce noises from neighboring playrooms, which limits distractions. We also have double-barrier doors that allow our team to control all entries and exits to and from the playrooms, which adds an extra layer of security.

Because we are an indoor dog daycare facility, we’re able to set our playrooms to the perfect temperature so that no matter what the weather is outside, including on those scorching California days, playtime is never interrupted. All of this is thanks to our advanced HVAC systems that circulate fresh, clean air into our facility. The odors you might expect from an indoor facility can be eliminated with this technology.

Our dog daycare playrooms are also equipped with live HD webcams that stream live footage to your phone or computer using Dogtopia’s mobile app or website. Whether you’re at the grocery store, in a class, or between meetings, you can catch your furry friend having the Most Exciting Day Ever.

While your dog enjoys our spacious, off-leash play area, you can feel confident that they’re in a clean space. We adhere to the robust cleaning guidelines established by Dogtopia’s Environmental Biologist and Veterinary Scientist. All surfaces in each playroom undergo a thorough sanitization process two times a day, and we use safe, non-toxic cleaning products specifically designed for dogs.

WHAT’S ON THE DAYCARE ITINERARY?

When our morning crowd comes rolling in, our team jumps into action, ready to welcome them to the Most Exciting Day Ever. Pups will get to know each other, catch up on the latest doggy stories with their furry friends, and start making connections right away.

At noon, we break for lunch and naptime, and our daycare guests head over to their home-style crates located in the same playrooms. Our team will prepare the pups’ food and administer any needed medication, as directed by the pet parents. While we recommend you bring your dog’s food from home to maintain their diet, we provide kibble free of charge in case you would like to use it instead or if we need to supplement the food brought.

* Please note that we turn our webcams off during this time as our pups recharge and our team performs a deep clean of the playrooms.

At 1 p.m., our daycare dogs are back to enjoying all the playing, learning, exercising, and socialization that daycare has to offer. Once it’s time to pick up your furry family member, you’ll find them in a happy and played-out state, possibly even dozing off during the car ride home. We refer to this as the Dogtopia Daze.

Our doggie spa is a popular add-on for pet parents who want to give their pup a little extra pampering before they pick them up for the day. We offer a range of treatments to help keep your dog looking, feeling, and smelling great, and our team has the necessary skillset to provide a comforting environment. You can also book separate spa appointments if you’re looking to strengthen your pup’s hygiene routine.

Whether it be them organizing an activity for pups to engage in, helping our doggie guests interact with one another, or just giving extra cuddles, our highly trained Coaches are there to supervise and support.

Our Coaches have a wealth of experience working with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and play styles, and must complete a rigorous four-part training curriculum that equips them with the skills to understand doggy body language and behavior. This toolkit of skills allows them to effectively care for our daycare pups and discourage any signs of unwanted actions before it escalates.

This training curriculum is recognized by both the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants and the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers as continuing education credits, ensuring that your pup receives the highest level of care.

Along with expert care, our Coaches provide periodic report cards that offer insight into your dog’s day at daycare, including notes on their behavior and the friends they made. Regular daycare visitors receive even more detailed reports as our Coaches get to know their personalities better with each visit.

Another way we maintain safety is with our Meet & Greet that all dogs must pass before they enter our facility. This quick, yet thorough assessment led by our evaluators helps tell us that Dogtopia of Rocklin is the right fit for your pup, while also providing an opportunity for you and your furry friend to get to know our team and facility.

During your Meet & Greet, we will conduct a health history review and current health assessment, along with a nose-to-tail evaluation to see if your pup has any touch sensitivities that we need to be aware of. Shortly after, we will create a mini play area with some of the dogs who would be in your dog’s play group and observe their interactions. We will also test your pup’s comfort level in our home-style crates that are used during naptime. Once our team collects their observations, we will inform you on whether you can begin your dog’s daycare journey with us.

In our effort to maintain the safety of all dogs in our space, we follow a set of guidelines established by Dogtopia. All pups at Dogtopia of Rocklin must be at least 12 weeks and older, spayed or neutered if seven weeks and older, free of any communicable illness that could spread to others (i.e., fleas, ticks, etc.) for the past 30 days, and up to date on all common doggie vaccines, including:

• Bordetella
• Rabies
• DHLPP/DHPP (also known as “distemper/parvo”)
• Canine Influenza (may be called CIV, H3N2 & H3N8 or Canine Influenza bivalent)

Diane was awarded the 2023 Dogtopia Noble Cause award for the Dogtopia Network for her work supporting the Dogtopia Foundation in Enabling Dogs to Positively Change our World through all three of its worthy causes: Service Dogs for Military Veterans, Therapy Dogs for Students, and Jobs for Adults with Autism.
