Are you looking for a safe, reliable, and reputable dog facility that offers expert-level care for your furry family member while you’re away? Consider your search over! Welcome to Dogtopia of Rocklin—your pup’s home away from home.
We consider our overnight stays at our facility to be a mini staycation for pups to enjoy. By day, they are at daycare, learning, socializing, and staying active as they engage in fun agility-focused exercises and mind-stimulating brain games, all while tapping into their natural pack instinct to form bonds with like-minded friends. We do not have kennel runs. Instead, our boarding dogs enjoy full use of our open-play, off-leash environment. As the day winds down, pups receive expert care as they get ready to catch some Zs. Each day they’re with us is the Most Exciting Day Ever!
Dogs staying overnight sleep in one of our spacious home-style crates, located in the same playroom they played all day in. This creates familiarity and comfort so that they feel at ease at all points of the day.
It can be stressful to leave your furry companion overnight. Our most successful boarders have become familiar with our staff and our daycare program before their overnight stay. They have already become used to our routine, learned that mom and/or dad are coming back, and know this is a fun place to spend time with some of their favorite Canine Coaches and their BFFF’s (Best Furry Friends Forever). This is why we recommend that if your dog is boarding with us for the first time and is not a Dogtopia daycare dog, they enroll in at least three days of daycare prior to their boarding stay, if possible, as it allows your dog to get acquainted with their playroom, the other dogs, and our team.
how boarding works at Dogtopia of Rocklin
Our boarding pups enjoy playing all day with our daycare dogs. From opening until noon, they engage in all the wellness-focused activities we have planned, as well as our occasional playroom bubble parties (with edible flavored bubbles), themed photoshoots, arts and crafts, and more. At noon, we break for lunch and a chance for pups to nap and recharge their playtime batteries. At 1 p.m., they are back to enjoying our playrooms and having fun with their furry friends. After daycare, they have dinner and digest for a bit. Then, they will come out and play one to two more times in the evening before bed.
Our staff stay late (8-10 p.m.) and are back very early (5-6 a.m.). In the morning, boarding pups will run around, stretch their legs, go potty, eat breakfast, and have a chance to digest their food before joining open play at daycare. Overnight, our facility is heavily monitored with police, fire, motion, light, temperature, sound, and movement detectors. We have many staff that live in the neighborhood next to our facility and they can be there in a heartbeat. Our owner also lives less than ten minutes away.
At night, our pups are so tired from playing all day that they are ready to curl up with a soft bed or blanket (sent from home or provided by our staff) and drift off to sleep in their own individual crate next to their furry friends. With advanced reservations, our staff is also available to stay all night for an additional fee.
DOG DAYCARE PLAYROOMS IN PLACER COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
We always want to ensure that every pup at our facility feels comfortable to be their best doggy selves. That’s why we added three spacious playrooms to our 4,200 square feet facility so that we could comfortably separate dogs by their size and temperament. Smaller dogs thrive in our Park playroom, while larger, younger breeds relish in the space that our City playroom provides. For older, more mature pups, our Beach playroom is the ideal space for them to bond with others who have a similar play style.
We made specific choices when designing our playrooms to ensure our boarding dogs feel safe and comfortable, allowing us to stand out among our competitors. Playroom floors use material made from a compressed rubber that’s comfy on paw pads and promotes healthy hip and joint health. We also have soundproof, floor-to-ceiling walls that keep each playroom separate to help reduce distractions from playing pups in neighboring rooms, and installed double-barrier doors for an extra layer of security between the playrooms and our main hall.
As an indoor facility, we’re able to climate control our space thanks to our HVAC systems, so it’s always a comfortable 65-70 degrees, no matter how hot it gets outside. This system also allows us to keep fresh air circulating, and filters out any harmful particles. Like an air purifier you might have at your home, it allows pups to breathe in clean air while they’re with us.
Speaking of clean, our facility follows the strict cleaning guidelines set by Dogtopia’s Environmental Biologist and Veterinary Scientist. Twice a day, we perform a deep clean on all playroom surfaces using dog-safe, chemical-free cleaning products. Your furry friend’s safety is our top priority, and we make sure they never come in contact with any harmful substances, such as harsh cleaning fumes. This includes the bio-enzymatic spot cleaner we use during those “in-the-moment” potty mishaps.
DOG PLAYROOM WEBCAMS
When you’re out of town, we know you will want to check in and see how your dog is doing. That’s why we offer live webcam access so you can peek in on your dog during the day using Dogtopia’s mobile app, available on both Apple and Android devices, or website. Seeing your furry family member’s big smile and wagging tail will not only be the cutest thing you’ll see all day, but will offer reassurance that they’re in a safe environment in qualified hands.
BOOK A TRIP TO OUR DOGGY SPA
To add to your dog’s staycation experience, you can schedule some treatments during their stay at our full-service spa. Our team of experts can provide a range of services, including baths, nail trims, teeth brushing, and more. When it’s time to pick them up, they’ll be looking, smelling, and feeling like a million bones!
EXPERT CANINE COACHES IN ROCKLIN, CALIFORNIA
Our people set our location apart—our staff is ALL HEART! Pet parents can rest assured that their pup is in the expert hands of our dog-loving team. Canine Coaches at Dogtopia of Rocklin have a wide range of skills and are experienced working with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and play styles. They have completed a thorough four-part training curriculum to help them better understand dog behavior, and they can pick up on even the slightest changes in dog body language.
This training curriculum is approved for continuing education credits by the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants and the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers, which means the skills our team possess are from top names in the industry.
Our Coaches will be by your pup’s side, providing care and love like they’re part of the family. When their staycation comes to an end, we will provide you with a rundown of their behavior, the friends they made, and overall observations. This insight is periodically offered to our daycare dogs, and is something our regulars appreciate, as it often highlights the growth their pup makes during their time with us.
