FAQ for Dog Boarding and Daycare

Choosing the right daycare and boarding for your dog can come with a lot of questions, especially when it comes to your pet’s comfort, safety, and care. Here are some frequently asked questions to help you understand the process and feel confident about your decision.

Q: What if I have an older/elderly dog?

A: We understand the special needs of older or elderly dogs. Our playrooms are equipped with rubberized floors, which are gentle on joints and paws, providing better traction and cushioning to protect your pet’s overall structure. In addition, our climate-controlled rooms keep your dog comfortable throughout the year, whether it’s hot or cold outside. This ensures that your senior pet can enjoy daycare or boarding with the least amount of stress on their body.

Q: What are the benefits of dog daycare?

A: Dog daycare offers several benefits for your furry friend. It provides mental stimulation, physical exercise, and socialization with other dogs and humans. Your dog will have the opportunity to burn off excess energy, which can lead to better behavior at home. Additionally, daycare can help reduce separation anxiety and give you peace of mind knowing your dog is in a safe, engaging environment during the day.

Q: Why is my dog in a crate sometimes during the daycare day?

A: While our playrooms are designed for active play, some dogs may need breaks throughout the day to rest and recharge. We provide crate breaks during daycare to ensure your dog gets a little downtime and doesn’t become overstimulated. This helps maintain a healthy balance between activity and relaxation, especially for puppies, older dogs, or those who need some quiet time away from the pack.

Boarding FAQ

Q: How does mealtime work?

A: We follow your pet’s regular feeding schedule as closely as possible. You are welcome to bring your dog’s preferred food from home to ensure consistency in their diet. If you forget to bring food, we can provide meals, but we always recommend using your dog’s usual food to avoid upsetting their stomach.

Q: What if I forget something for my dog?

A: If you forget an item like food, medication, or a favorite toy, don’t worry. We’ll provide what’s needed.  You can also contact us to bring in any missing items, or we can provide substitutes to keep your pet comfortable and happy.

Q: Can you administer medicine?

A: Yes, we can administer medication to your dog while they are in our care. Please provide clear instructions and make sure the medication is labeled correctly. Our trained staff will ensure your dog gets the proper dosage at the correct time.

Q: Can my dog have a bath upon pickup?

A: Absolutely! We offer baths, nail trims, and other grooming services during your dog’s stay. Just let us know when you drop off your pet if you’d like to schedule a bath or other services for their pick-up day so they go home clean, fresh, and happy.
