WELCOME TO DOGTOPIA!

We are excited to meet you and your pup for your Meet & Greet! At Dogtopia, we are focused on health and safety as well as ensuring all dogs are comfortable in our open-play environment. For daycare and boarding, all dogs are separated into playrooms by size and temperament where they can enjoy hours of safe socialization, exercise, education and FUN. They’re supervised by our highly trained Canine Coaches and you can check in on them throughout the day via our live webcams!

What is a Meet & Greet and why do I need one?

While we love all breeds and personalities, not every dog is suited for an off-leash, open-play environment. We take our doggie guests’ safety very seriously, so each new dog is required to stay and play for at least 4 hours as part of our Meet & Greet process. Our initial evaluation will include a health history overview, a nose-to-tail assessment, and an evaluation of their comfort level with other dogs in a controlled mini-play area. The process is very easy and ensures all dogs are comfortable at Dogtopia – we look forward to getting to know you and your furry family member better! Please note: All dogs must be at least 12 weeks of age and current on required vaccinations (Rabies, DHLPP/DHPP and Bordetella). Canine Influenza is strongly recommended at this time. Dogs older than 7 months must be spayed or neutered.

DOGTOPIA REQUIREMENTS:

  • Up-to-date on vaccinations (including Rabies, DHPP, Canine Influenza and Bordetella) – don’t have your records? We can call your vet for you!
  • Puppies must be at least 12 weeks old AND fully vaccinated for Rabies, DHPP and Bordetella
  • Dogs 7 months and older must be spayed/neutered
*Newly adopted adult dogs should be in their new home for at least 30 days to get comfortable in their new surroundings *Dogtopia highly recommends all new overnight boarding pups complete 3 days of daycare prior to their first overnight stay with us to ensure their comfort during the stay and meet all their new human and furry friends ahead of time.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I prepare for the Meet & Greet?
Once your Meet & Greet appointment is set and confirmed by our team, you will receive an email to log-in to your online dashboard and begin the registration process. This is where we get to know more about you and your dog, vaccinations can be uploaded by you or our team and you can review and digitally sign our Pet Parent Agreement. Then you’re ready!
  • What can I expect at the Meet & Greet?
Please arrive with your dog(s) properly leashed on a harness or collar prior to entering our lobby. During your Meet & Greet, we ask that you set aside 20-30 minutes to speak with our team about your dog and what’s most important to you when it comes to doggie daycare. Your pup will be in great hands with one of our many trained evaluators throughout the Meet & Greet process.  Once our team has gotten to know you and your pup better, we will provide you with some updates on how they are acclimating to the playroom and discuss a good pick up time for you to return. We require all dogs to be present for a minimum of four hours on their Meet & Greet day to allow them time to fully acclimate to our open play environment.
  • What does the evaluation include?
    • Wellness check
    • Response to staff touch/interaction
    • Comfort level in a crate – Crates are used for rest, naptime, boarding, feedings and administering medication when applicable
    • Reaction in “open-play” setting with other dogs of varying size, breed, and temperament
The process is very easy and there is nothing to be nervous about at Dogtopia – we just want to get to know your pup better!
  • What if I miss a week or a day?
We understand that issues arise that may require an absence. There are four “pause weeks” available to each dog during the year. Your enrollment will pause for up to a total of four weeks with no payment during that time. Each enrollment plan provides a total number of daycare days per week to use whenever you like. We recommend developing a consistent schedule for you and your dog, as dogs thrive off of routine. Unused daycare days do not rollover to the following billing cycle. We are here to help you determine the right plan for your desired attendance.
  • Does my wellness plan offer any discounts on other services?
Enrollment provides you with the absolute best price on our daycare and boarding services. There are no other discounts on our services. By enrolling, you are getting a savings off of our daily daycare rate.
  • How does boarding work with enrollment?
Dogs on our wellness program are given priority for boarding reservations. Your weekly enrollment may be applied toward your overnight stay’s invoice. If you’re staying longer than you’re enrolled, you simply pay the enrolled boarding rate. If you’re not enrolled and looking to board, you will be charged the non-enrolled boarding rate.
  • Is my dog required to attend daycare the same days each week?
Although that is best for your dog(s) and is highly recommended, it is not required at this time.
  • Can I change my plan?
Yes, we ask for a two-week notice to modify or cancel your plan.
  • Can I purchase more days without changing my plan?
Yes. Additional daycare days may be purchased without changing your plan and we will honor your daycare rate as outlined by your specific wellness plan.
  • Can both of my dogs use one plan?
We allow one dog per wellness plan. If you have two dogs, you’ll need to purchase two plans.
  • Will I get a receipt?
Yes, you’ll receive an email each week notifying you of the charge to your credit card.
  • Can I pause my plan?
Yes. You have the ability to pause your plan for a total of four weeks per year at no charge. All pauses require a one-week minimum. Please email your Dogtopia location to pause your plan or let us know during your next daycare drop off.
  • How do I cancel?
We ask for a two-week cancellation notice to change or cancel your plan.
  • Can my wellness plan be used at another Dogtopia?
    Not at this time.
  • Can you administer my dogs medications during boarding or daycare?
Our team will administer any topical and oral medications that are approved and safe for the open play environment. We require all medications to be brought in their original containers with the following information clearly listed: your dog's name, the medication name, dosage instructions, and the prescribing veterinarian. Please verify all medications with our team ahead of time.
