I like the time the associates took with explaining everything to me. I also love the video cam that is offered so that I can check on my dog when I am away from him.

Dogtopia of South Elgin was my dogs first daycare as a puppy in 2021. Unfortunately, in 2022 we had to move to Wheaton and I’ve had to find another daycare for my dog, Duke. I’ve been to several dog daycares in the Western Suburbs now and I always come back to Dogtopia of South Elgin even though I have to drive 45 min out of my way to do so simply because they really understand my dog’s bread (Australian Shepherd). They don’t punish Duke for his herding behaviors – instead, they redirect or give him SHORT time-outs in the crate, which is what I do at home. I emphasize short because other daycares either didn’t understand his breed, didn’t have the patience or didn’t have the capacity to take the time to manage his natural tendencies and placed him in a crate for long periods of time – hours or all day with potty breaks only. He’s a great dog and listens well, so thankfully Dogtopia of South Elgin has the training to manage his breed and welcomed Duke back with open arms and he absolutely loves going there. How do I know? Because as soon as we get close to Dogtopia of South Elgin, he gets super excited and can’t get out of the car fast enough to see the staff and play with his friends! He never reacted that way at the other daycares! 5 stars all the way around!
Sarah, is a great groomer! Scheduling an appointment is easy. The front desk staff is helpful. I didn’t have our dog’s rabies information and they called our vet to verify.
Everyone is so friendly! We bring Belle, our 1 year old goldendoodle, to daycare and grooming, and she is always sad to leave. It seems like staff members really try to get to know the dogs they care for. Belle enjoys all of the fun activities scheduled on the daycare calendar each month, and I love that I can check in on her anytime through the cameras in the app. It really gives me peace of mind that I know she is safe and having a great time! I also enjoy taking advantage of the grooming packages, especially when they include fun bandanas, bows, and take home pictures like ornaments and magnets. It’s also nice to know that if we ever need to board her, she’s already comfortable at Dogtopia.

It is so easy to schedule daycare days. I love that I can check in on my dog with the video feed from work. There are always so many fun activities happening. I can tell the staff really love the dogs.
