At Dogtopia of Summerville, we believe that effective dog training is key to a happy and well-adjusted canine citizen. Our dedicated team is passionate about helping dogs reach their full potential through structured training programs tailored to their individual needs.

We have partnered with Wild Wags Dog Training—the dog trainer voted Best of Berkeley County—to offer group classes for dogs in Summerville and the Greater Charleston area. Membership at Dogtopia is not required to sign up for dog training at Dogtopia. However, we recommend dog daycare as part of a healthy dog’s weekly routine!

Our Dog Training Programs

We offer a range of training programs suitable for dogs of all ages and skill levels in partnership with Wild Wags Dog Training. For all classes, dogs must provide proof of vaccination for bordetella, rabies, and distemper (DHPP).

BASIC Obedience skills group class (4+ months)

This is an entry level class for dogs that do not know commands such as sit, down, stay. The curriculum covers treat luring/shaping, marking and rewarding desired behaviors, manners and socialization, and all basic obedience commands.
Sundays at 2:15 pm starting Apr. 27 – Jun. 1, 1 hr.
$210 per dog for 6 classes

ADVANCING Obedience skills group class (4+ months)

This class aims to improve your dog’s training skills, commands, and manners with distractions present. The curriculum includes fun exercises, games, and group coaching from the instructor. Your dog must know basic commands such as sit, down, and stay.
Sundays at 3:30 pm starting Apr. 27 – Jun. 1, 1 hr.
$210 per dog for 6 classes

CONFIDENCE skills group class

This class is great for any dog to improve their confidence, problem solving skills, and strengthen the owner/dog relationship.
