MODERN DOG DAYCARE PLAYROOMS IN FORT WORTH, TEXAS
As a state-of-the-art open-play dog facility, we had the opportunity to construct a space that meets dogs’ specific needs. Rather than one big space where all dogs of varying breeds, sizes, and play styles interact, as you might see at other doggie daycares, we separate pups into ideal play groups. That means if your dog becomes part of our Dogtopia Squad at Dogtopia of Fort Worth - Downtown, they will be assigned to one of our four playrooms.
Whether your dog is a small or large breed or falls somewhere in between, they will stick with like-minded pals. Adhering to this rule allows pups to feel more comfortable playing and making friends without feeling intimidated or having to associate with pups who don’t match their playtime vibe.
Each indoor playroom at Dogtopia of Fort Worth - Downtown is separated by floor-to-ceiling, soundproof walls, providing ample space for dogs to run, chase, play, and exercise without being distracted by sounds in neighboring playrooms.
Our flooring, made from compressed rubberized material, protects their paw pads, hips, and joints, setting us apart from other dog daycares that may use cement or gravel. We’ve also added double-barrier doors for an added layer of safety.
Advanced HVAC systems circulate fresh, clean air, helping us create a healthy environment. Plus, with the climate control features, we can help pups feel comfortable no matter what the Texas weather may bring.
In our playrooms, you’ll find Canine Coaches who are expertly trained to interact with large groups of dogs of any size or breed. Whether you bring your pup to daycare or keep them overnight, our team will create a home-away-from-home feeling that your dog will enjoy.
Our Coaches have completed a comprehensive, four-part training program approved for continuing education credits by the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants and the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers. The skills they have acquired, such as interpreting dog body language, mean your furry family member is in qualified hands.
Want the chance to check in on your dog while they’re in our care? We have live HD webcams in each playroom so you can catch the tail-wagging good time your pup is having with their friend group. This livestream is only available for pet parents with a dog at our facility that day and is accessible via Dogtopia’s app and website.
Our two outdoor play areas have a similar structure to our indoor playrooms and follow our industry-leading safety measures. Although your dog will primarily spend time indoors, our outdoor space provides the opportunity to enjoy some sunshine (when the weather cooperates).
activities at dogtopia of Fort Worth - Downtown
During your dog’s visit, they can enjoy various planned activities that keep them active and mentally stimulated. Our team plans:
- Brain games, like treat puzzles and snuffle mats, that improve problem-solving skills
- Agility-focused exercises that keep pups moving and engaged using our in-playroom equipment, such as ramps and slides, that strengthen their muscles and improve balance
- Behavior-based games, such as follow the leader and door control
- Occasional themed photoshoots with props and backdrops that make for the most adorable photos
- Arts and craft days that tap into dogs’ inner artists
- Bubble parties with pet-safe, flavored bubbles that float around our playrooms
As your dog enjoys a tail-wagging good time, they will socialize with their friends, which can reduce feelings of isolation and improve their doggy communication.
Creating an enriching environment for dogs is an excellent way to improve your pup’s mental and physical health. Plus, keeping activities novel helps make sure your dog won’t get bored. Let our team help cross this off your checklist.
CREATING A SCHEDULE THAT WORKS FOR YOU AND YOUR PUP
Dogtopia of Fort Worth - Downtown offers half- and full-day options that can align with your schedule and daycare needs, as well as wellness plans that create a consistent schedule for your pup to enjoy. Dogs thrive on routine, so attending our facility regularly helps them know what to expect, reducing stress and anxiety levels thanks to the predictability and structure.
If you’re bringing your pup by for an overnight stay, we ask that they attend at least three days of daycare so they can become familiar with our facility and our team. Dog boarding can be a great option if you’re going on vacation, but it can also help improve your pup’s separation anxiety. Adding an overnight stay every once in a while, even when you are home, can help boost their confidence in different environments, which can benefit them inside and outside our facility.
Our spa offers various treatments and grooming services that can be scheduled as a stand-alone visit or added to your dog’s daycare or overnight stay. Regular spa visits can help your pup maintain a hygiene routine, which is essential for their health and well-being. Our skilled team is ready to provide your pup with complete pampering so they can feel relaxed during each treatment.

DOGTOPIA’S MEET & GREET ASSESSMENT
We’re excited to welcome you and your furry friend to our facility! Our Meet & Greet, a 20- to 30-minute evaluation, is something Dogtopia has implemented across all facilities to determine whether our off-leash, open-play environment is the right fit for any dog that becomes part of the Dogtopia Squad.
Our team will start this assessment by conducting a health history before moving on to a nose-to-tail evaluation to check for any touch sensitivities, which our team must be aware of, especially since we’re so hands-on with pups in our care. Next, we’ll set up a small play area with a few dogs of similar temperament so your pup can socialize and play with them while our team monitors their behavior and comfort level. We will also see how they respond to our home-style crates, where they’ll nap during the day and sleep overnight if they’re going to be a boarding guest.
During this time, you can tour our facility. Be sure to bring all your questions, as our qualified team is ready to answer them! By the end of the Meet & Greet, we’ll let you know if your dog is ready to start. If we determine they need more time before joining our facility, we’ll provide feedback on the areas they need to work on. However, if they get the green light, your pup can attend right away.
