Each of our boarding dogs enjoy all day play with our daycare pups, including mealtimes, naps and potty breaks. Instead of traditional kennel runs, our boarding dogs enjoy full, all-access use of our off-leash, open playrooms. They are free to run around and socialize with their like-minded doggie friends. Our canine guests also enjoy five-star accommodations in comfortable home-style crates suited to their size, where they will enjoy a peaceful rest after a day filled with play.
We offer two choices for boarding; our most common is our home-style crates but we also offer three luxury suites for dogs that may prefer more space or are staying with a sibling.
As fellow pet parents, we know the guilt and worry associated with leaving your dog while traveling. Boarding can be stressful for your pup, so we make every effort to ensure it is a safe and fun experience for them! This starts by ensuring your dog is comfortable in our care and is surrounded by other dogs that they know. We accomplish this by requiring every dog that boards with us to pass a temperament evaluation and to attend a minimum of three days of daycare prior to boarding. This ensures that every dog feels comfortable in our open play environment before they are left for an extended stay.

OUR INITIAL MEET & GREET PROCESS
Before attending any of our services at Dogtopia of Viera, dogs must complete our Meet & Greet. This is an assessment performed by our evaluators to determine if our off-leash, open-play environment is the right space for each dog.
We will start this process by reviewing your pup’s health history and performing a nose-to-tail assessment to observe any responses to our team’s touch. This is also an opportunity to assess your dog’s comfort level in our home-style crates, which they’ll use for naps during the day and overnight unless you opt for a private suite. From there, we will create a controlled play space with a couple of other dogs from the same playroom your pup would be in. This is our chance to see how your furry friend reacts to being around others—a key component to attending Dogtopia of Viera. Once this assessment is complete, our evaluators will share their results and let you know if our facility is the right space for your dog’s overnight stay.
In addition to our Meet & Greet, your dog must meet some requirements. They include:
- At least 12 weeks old
- If seven months and older, be spayed/neutered
- Up-to-date vaccination record with DHPP/DHLPP (also known as “distemper/parvo), Rabies, and Bordetella. Canine influenza vaccine is highly recommended.
- In good health and free of communicable conditions (including fleas and ticks) within 30 days
- Non-aggressive or food/toy-protective
